The Lounge Bar

The large and comfortable lounge bar offers plenty of seating and features a games corner, where you can enjoy traditional pub games such as Jenga, chess, backgammon and dominos, and there is also the pub dart board.

You can order your choice of real cask conditioned  ales, or wide variety of other drinks, at the pub's second bar. The pub also offers proper pub food served from 12.30-7.00 p.m. every day. To make your selection please view the Alexandra Tavern real pub food menu here. [ + ]

At the far end of the lounge area is Rowing Corner, an area dedicated to the Atlantic Ocean rowing challange undertaken by the pub's landlord, James 'Tiny' Little, in 2005. The epic row was in aid of the Davenport Trust, a new charity set up to help and support young victims of depression.

Monday 1st February we'll be discussing morality, Monday 1st March it'll be the history of science. Each discussion led by Peter Green, retired UEA philosophy lecturer.
